Refund & Cancellation Policy
This page summarises how refunds and cancellations work across Nick Mirow Coaching's programmes and coaching subscriptions. It's a plain-language summary; the full terms are set out in your Programme Client Agreement, provided at signup. Nothing here limits any right or guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Baseline and Programme (one-off, self-directed)
If you cancel before programme design work has begun, you get a full refund, processed within 10 business days.
If you cancel after work has begun, you're refunded the portion of the fee attributable to whatever hasn't been delivered yet, calculated by reference to the deliverables in your tier. Once every deliverable for your tier has been provided, the service has been fully supplied and no refund applies.
Either way, you'll get a written breakdown of what has and hasn't been delivered, and the resulting refund amount, within 5 business days of your cancellation request.
Coaching tiers (Guided Programme, Online Coaching, Personal Coaching)
These are rolling subscriptions billed in four-week Renewal Blocks via Stripe direct debit. There's no fixed end date; they continue until you cancel.
On Guided Programme and Online Coaching you can start either way: straight onto the rolling subscription, or with a Full Assessment first. Personal Coaching always includes the Full Assessment.
Where you've paid the one-time Full Assessment fee (intake, testing analysis, consultation, walkthrough, initial programme design), it isn't refundable once that work has been completed, as it covers work already delivered. If you cancel partway through, you're refunded the portion covering whatever hasn't been delivered yet.
You can cancel at any time by emailing coach@nickmirow.com, with at least 7 days' notice before your next block's charge date, to avoid being charged for that block. Block boundary dates are published in advance, so you can always see ahead of time when that cutoff falls; Stripe also sends a courtesy reminder 3-5 days before each charge, though that's a heads-up rather than the deadline itself.
A Renewal Block that has already been charged and delivered is not refunded. Cancelling simply means you won't be charged for the following block. If a charge is ever taken in error for a block that won't be delivered (for example, a payment retry after you've already cancelled), that charge is refunded in full.
In-person sessions (Personal Coaching)
Cancel by email before 2:00pm the day before your session and it won't count as used. You'll get a Session Credit to use for a replacement session at a later date, with no expiry while you're an active client.
No-shows, late cancellations, and late arrivals count the session as used, since it sits inside a block you've already paid for.
Genuine illness or emergency (on either side) always gets a Session Credit, regardless of notice. If a session needs to be cancelled from our side for any reason, you'll also get a Session Credit and we'll arrange a replacement time together.
Your consumer law rights
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't lawfully be excluded. If a service doesn't meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a refund, re-supply, or compensation in addition to or instead of anything set out above.
How to request a refund or cancel
Email coach@nickmirow.com with your request. We'll confirm in writing and, where a refund applies, process it within the timeframes above.
